In which I reveal my pathetic love for TV

I need a television recommendation service, or something. (And it shouldn't be TiVo, because its suggestions just are so not helpful.)

Or maybe there just needs to be more interesting stuff to watch on TV.

But please, people, I'm watching Octopussy right now! Octopussy! And I don't want to be watching Octopussy.

I watched some of Rock Star: INXS tonight, and that was pretty good for the little that I saw of it. I generally really like shows on Bravo, like Blow Out, Project Runway, etc. But there's nothing good on Bravo right now.

I want Survivor to start!

BTW, the cast mini-bios for this season's Survivor cast are fucking awesome. "Favorite Scent: Scent of a woman". Oh, come on! That's just ridiculous.

The reality TV bitchfest -- a stupidfool genre to cherish.

Octopussy was by far the worst Bond film of all time. Anyway, I recommend MythBusters, Wednesday night on the Discovery Channel. It's must see TV for any self respecting geek.

Have you watched The Wire ?

No, I tried watching it a year or two ago, and never really got into it--not sure why. Should I? :)

"Battle of the TV Reality Stars" (or whatever it's called) on Bravo is unwatchable, but I was very excited to see evil Wendy and Austin Scarlett from "Project Runway" competing.

The Kathy Griffin show is entertaining.

I would go so far as to say The Wire is the best of all the HBO franchises, and also it's the best crime drama in television history. The catch is you have to watch all the episodes in order, and in relatively fast succession. It's also a little slow in the beginning, since they have so many characters and settings to introduce. But the payoff is tremendous.
