Over on Six Apart News I posted about the Scratchathon that we held, which work formed the basis for our most recent TypePad release.
This is an amazing release, because it combines work from all of the engineers working on TypePad, and includes features that we & our customers have wanted for a long time. In fact, Mena writes about her favorite new feature on Mena's Corner:
Believe me, not having the ability to choose specific photo albums has bugged me since day one of TypePad.
We'll continue to post more information about the new features over the next couple of days, including the feature I worked on during the Scratchathon.
Hi Ben, just wanted to say that the display of your feed is slightly wrong in Bloglines - I don't think they support Atom 1.0 feeds as XHTML yet. I have that problem with my feed too. Just so that you know.

That's strange, because we're not actually producing Atom 1.0 feeds yet--partly because of issues like this, with certain aggregators not being ready for 1.0 feeds. I just checked the feed myself in Bloglines, and it seems to look okay, though I can't be sure... what were you seeing that looked wrong?

Apologies, it's not specifically Atom 1.0 but 0.3 too. Basically it wasn't respecting the white space around XHTML elements - this is annoying would appear as 'thisisannoying'. If the feed is published as HTML and not XHTML it seems to be fine.

Neil T.: We figured out that's because of our unexpected atom:content@type update in the recent release, and we'll fix it sometime tonight. Thanks for the notification for the problem!
